Matthew J. Burek
Matt brings over 30+ years of industry experience to the SAG Team. His love for the Hospitality Industry started while serving coffee and donuts at the age of 10 at his family’s Dunkin Donuts business. This gave him a solid foundation to become a chef, an instructor, a general manager at multiple restaurants, and to work for two of the industry leaders in food distribution.

Background and Education: Matt began his career at his family’s Dunkin Donuts franchise business at the age of 10. There he learned the importance of hard work and dedication that his parents, brother, and sisters all needed to make a family business be successful. From there he grew an appreciation for Culinary Arts that led him to attend A.W. Beattie Career Center while at North Allegheny High School and then earn his associate degree from Pennsylvania Culinary in Downtown Pittsburgh, PA.
Matt has worked in all aspects of the restaurant and hospitality business including:
- Managing restaurants and bars at National Chain Franchises like Moe's Southwest Grill, Outback Steakhouse, and Rotelli Restaurant as well as local eateries like McSorley's.
- Large volume capacity at Sheraton Hotels, Parkhurst Dining, and AVI Food Systems.
- Product Purchasing and Cost Management at Sysco and Gordon Food Service as a Sales Consultant.
Out of Office: Matt lives in Butler County with his wife, son, daughter, dogs, and cats. His family loves the outdoors and traveling. If given the chance, they like to spend as much time in their pop-up camper exploring National Parks and sandy beaches.
Favorite Local Spot: Villa Grande
Favorite Food: So difficult to just name one...but it would have to be pizza or anything in the pizza family! (Although a great dry-aged ribeye is something that I will never pass up!)
