SAG Sells Beehive on East Carson Street to Open Millennial Concept Restaurant & Bar

The Beehive Coffeehouse & Dessertery is causing a stir in south side as people buzz to get their final Beehive favorites. The Beehive, created to cater to an artsy crowd, has been South Side’s meet up hub for an array of coffee drinks and food items since 1991. After 28 years, owners Steve Zumoff and Scott Kramer announced that the Beehive will be closing at the end of the year. This was a tough decision for owners who put a lifetime of work into creating this special cafe. It is clear that this cafe had a large impact on our locals–“More than 100,000 people read the Sept. 5 Facebook post about the closure, prompting hordes of “Beehivians” to pay their respects in person.” stated Kristy Locklin, From NextPittsburgh (https://bit.ly/2MX3zU5). We thank the Beehive for their 28 years of business and wish them all the best.

The Beehive was sold by our Principal, Ron Sofranko, at Sofranko Advisory Group. SAG specializes in the restaurant and hospitality consulting and brokering. With over 30 years’ experience, our firm has helped transform and design restaurants and bars, by helping business owners live out their vision, concept dreams and profit goals. We have worked with companies ranging from small cafes to some of the largest multi concept brands around.

This space will be transformed into a new state of the art, millennial concept serving small plates and a variety of beer. This restaurant and bar is on track to open its doors to the public in April of 2019 and the new owner could not be more excited to turn his dream into a reality. We believe this chef-driven, unique concept will be a very successful and respected establishment that will be the new gathering spot for your next celebration or fun night out.
