Dine: From corporate job to restaurant owner

Several new restaurant owners in the area are defecting from corporate work to wade into the restaurant industry. Some of them are going through the Pine-based Sofranko Advisory Group LLC because the group offers assistance beyond brokering and financing in bridging the experience gap.

Ronald Sofranko started his company in 2005 as a restaurant brokerage service and consulting group for the industry. His bedrock is his partnership in the four locations for Walnut Grill with a fifth to open in St. Louis, as well as Il Pizzaiolo, Downtown, and Jergel’s Rhythm Grille in Marshall. He’s been an operator in the industry since 1987, having owned 24 restaurants and having opened more than 97 restaurants.
