Liquor License Updates You Need to Know

Extend Your Liquor License Premise Quickly

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has released an application for licensees to temporarily extend their premise to permit additional space for outdoor dining and requests will be automatically approved. You can extend your outdoor area to include your parking lot and follow social distancing guidance while getting more people in the door. To remain profitable without being able to be at full capacity, more space is essential.

Additional Clarification on  Guidance for “Green” Counties

The PLCB also released additional guidance for counties going “Green” expanding on the guidance released by the Governor. If you have a Liquor License and are reopening soon, just ensure that you’re up-to-date on this guidance.

One area to note: the guidance offers some suggestions if the outside area of your restaurant is not covered under your license. For example, up to 192 ounces of beer can be sold indoors “to go” and carried out to an unlicensed area. Additional options also exist if you have a wine expanded permit or if you qualify to sell cocktails-to-go.
